My client is seeking an experience L3 Support Engineer to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team supporting a multi-site manufacturing and office environment. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and compliance of the compute environment, while driving best practices and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a secure, resilient, and compliant compute infrastructure environment across multiple sites.

  • Lead patching schedules, security tool management, and vulnerability remediation to ensure infrastructure compliance.

  • Coordinate and support disaster recovery testing and global controls audits.

  • Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure projects and resolve incidents.

  • Support and optimise SQL, VMware, and Windows Server environments.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, support escalations, and new solution proposals.

  • Track and report on infrastructure budgets, spend trends, and resource allocation.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in compute infrastructure or IT operations roles.

  • Strong technical expertise across Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, MS SQL, Cisco, and Azure/cloud environments.

  • Proven experience with security patching, vulnerability management, and tools such as BigFix, SEP, or WSUS.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage third-party vendor relationships.

  • Solid experience with incident/change management processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with SAN storage, backup appliances (Rubrik, Veritas), Citrix/RDS, or manufacturing IT environments.

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Azure).
